Mastering... defined.

Mastering is the last stage of the process of making audio before putting it out into the market --whether it’s a mix-tape, full-length album, demo, or a few tracks to put on the web, you will need to have your track(s) mastered.

If you are working on a film, commercial, or anything that has an audio component -- you will benefit from having your material enhanced, sound well-balanced, and shine from mastering at Arise Audio.

Some of what is involved in mastering:

Equalization · Noise Reduction · Stereo Width · Ambience · Compression · Dynamic Adjustment Phase Correction · Fades · Peak Limiting · De-Essing · De-Clicking · De-Crackling · Level Adjustment Editing · Metadata · Sequencing

Working with multiple sources, editing, sequencing, creating DDP image files;  ISRC, UPC, and CD-TEXT encoding (metadata).

Equalizationcompression, and limiting are the fundamental tools used in the mastering process.

Ultimately, it’s the engineer’s understanding of the mix
and how far certain elements can be taken (or not taken).

The engineer’s ears will allow his instinct to guide the
decision process.

Having a mastering engineer be “another set of ears” is really helpful.  Mastering will help you to achieve a cohesive sound.
