Etching I (and II)
is designed for participants with no printmaking background or for printmakers who like to learn non-toxic etching methods.
In 4 classes of 2,5 hour attention will be given to preparing plates, dry-point, roll-on hardground etching with acrylic grounds ,softground and inking and printing methods. You will try oil based as well as water based inks.
All materials are provided.
Aquatint for participants who did etching I
This course will teach you how to use the airbrush to create textures and tones on the plate.

Art and Expression full
Art and
Expression is a general art course during which you will
work in different techniques and media ( watercolour,
acrylic) The painting course starts twice a year in January
and September. You will study various painting methods on
paper and canvas. Subjects will vary from still life,
abstraction, imagination and reference images. In some
classes more attention will be given to sketching, drawing,
colour mixing, perspective and working in tone.
It is possible to work on your own project as well.
The
number of participants is limited to a maximum of 7 which
means lots of individual attention.
You
don’t have to have any experience to sign up for art and
expression courses.
I design the classes in a way that everybody, (absolute)
beginners as well advanced students will benefit from the
course. For all courses and workshops coffee and tea is
included in the price.
sep/oct 2008 program will emphasize acrylic painting
techniques and pastel drawing.

Relief
and monoprint
full
This
course will teach you woodcut, lino and monotype
techniques. Different plates will be combined into new
images. We will work in black and white and colour.Prints
are produced using handprinting as well as the press.
