Our Story:
Here at the Don't Squat! headquarters, we are marathon runners, cyclists, road trippers, and general port-a-potty haters.
Last year we were involved in the AIDS Lifecycle Ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. This cycling event spans over seven days and 585 miles down the coast of California. That's a lot of port-a-potties. You can only imagine how difficult it was to squat after riding 100+ miles. One gal couldn't wait for a restroom, squatted behind a tree, and ended up with poison oak in her nether regions! We only wished that we had discovered the P-Mate before this event.
Now we are armed and ready for next year's Lifecycle. We are ready for any pee emergency for that matter! At any given moment, you can find a P-Mate in our cars, purses, or pockets.
The P-Mate has changed our lives by adding a convenience to unsightly situations. Never again will we be jealous of the boys!
The P-Mate's History:
During a journey through Indonesia, Dutch born Moon Zijp was confronted with the fact that when she needed to pee, she would find herself in a difficult situation. Moon would have to go deeper into the jungle to allow her sufficient privacy to pee, as well as having the difficulty of squatting. From these experiences, which most women can relate to, she developed her first p-mate at the Amsterdam Academy of Arts. This device allowed her and other women to pee while standing upright.
The P-Mate has since been found at major music festivals in Holland, Canada, Australia, and England.
