Peace and Love to all
Please see a brief description of the Charities that we support. Click on any one of the following Charities and you will be taken directly to their website for more detailed information.
The Alliance for Climate Protection: Americans have always risen to meet the most important challenges to our nation’s and the world’s future. Together, we can address the climate challenge domestically and provide a robust economy for now and for our children.
America's second Harvest: The nations food bank network. In 2005, 35.1 million Americans lived in food insecure (low food security and very low food security) households, 22.7 million adults and 12.4 million children.
Bread for the World: Bread for the World is a nationwide Christian movement that seeks justice for the world's hungry people by lobbying our nation's decision makers. More than 850 million people in the world go hungry. In developing countries, 6 million children die each year, mostly from hunger-related causes. In the United States, 12.4 million children live in households where people have to skip meals or eat less to make ends meet. That means one in ten households in the U.S. are living with hunger or are at risk of hunger.
Glide: Glide Memorial located in San Francisco. Glide is the only program in town that provides three nutritious meals to the city’s poor, homeless and hungry every single day of the year serving 5,000 meals in one continuous eight-hour period. Glide provides a walk-in center, a health center that provides treatment to more than 3,000 homeless and low income people every year, housing and family services as well as training and employment. Read the book The Pursuit of Happyness by Chris Gardner. Glide helped him and his son.
Heifer International: Ending hunger and caring for the earth. Heifer International is a non-profit organization whose goal is to help end world hunger and poverty through self-reliance & sustainability.
Justice for Children International: STOP THE TRAFFIK. People should not be bought and sold. 1.2 million children are trafficked annually. Often captors will threaten, beat and starve new recruits to condition them for the fate that awaits : sex with multiple customer every day. Eventually this abuse "breaks" the CHILDREN. They learn to force a smile for the pedophiles, sex tourists and others that frequent their establishments.
Keep a Child Alive: 25 years and 25 million dead. We must come together as soon as possible to force our leaders to provide lifesaving AIDS treatment to the poor of our world. Lack of infrastructure, poor transportation, shortages of trained workers are substantial but can be overcome if as a people's movement we rise up and say NO MORE. STOP THE DYING.
